Jiangsu Changsu Economic Development Zone, founded in 1992,has been developing into the most successful industrial zone along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu. It ranks the top ten of various development zones in Jiangsu Province and has formed electrics and electronics, special steel, hign-grade paper making, fine chemicals, auto parts and components, equipment manufacturing, new materials, logistics and warehousing , science and technology research and development and other industrial cluster.

Changshu Scientific Innovation Park is located in Binjiang new town of Jiangsu Changshu Economic Development Zone, with a planned floor area of more than 200,000 m2. 2、江苏常熟东南经济开发区：成立于2003年，先后获得长三角最具投资价值开发区、江苏省十大发展速度最快开发区、江苏省国际服务外包示范区等荣誉称号，已形成IT电子、精密机械、汽车零部件等高新技术产业的集聚。

3、常熟科技城：是常熟大型研发创新基地，集教育培训、科技研发、产业孵化、创意创业于一体，下设生产力促进基地、高等教育区、天安科技城、东南创意谷等多个板块。

常熟大学科技园：是全国唯一在经济发展县市中设立的大学科技园，采用“企－园－校”全新模式，依托省内十五所高校，为入驻企业发展提供全方位的技术、人才支持。
Changshu University Science & Technology Park is the only university science and technology park established in economically-developed county. It adopts brand new model of “Enterprise-Park-Universities” and provides all-around technology and talent support for the development of the settled enterprises, with the backing of fifteen colleges and universities in the province.
4、常熟高新技术产业园：作为“国家火炬计划常熟电气机械产业基地”，紧紧围绕科技、环保、生态效益，重点发展IT、电子电器、精密机械、机电一体化等高新技术产业。
Changshu New & Hign tech industrial park, being the “Changshu Electrics and Machinery Industrial Base of National Torch Program”, focuses on science and technology, environmental protection and ecological benefit and gives priority to the development of IT , electronics and electrics, precision machinery, electromechanical integration and other high and new technology industries.
5、江苏常熟新材料产业园：前身为“江苏高科技氟化学工业园”，重点发展新材料、精细化工、生物化工、医药化工等产业，为江苏省沿江战略的重点组成部分。

6、三站一中心：目前，常熟已拥有三家国家级企业博士后科研工作站，五家省级企业博士后科研工作站，三家院士工作站，研究生工作站、国家级工程技术中心正在积极筹建中，为人才科技创新、企业提升研发能力提供重要平台。
Three Workstations and one center Currently,Changshu has three national enterprise postdoctoral science and research workstations, five provincial enterprise postdoctoral science and research workstations and three academician workstation.
